Designed with both the performing and recording guitarist in mind, the GNX3000 Guitar Workstation? features Component-Based Modeling? for the most authentic tone you?ve ever experienced. Until now, critical listening has been the focus for referencing and reproducing amp models. You got a ?tone snapshot? of an amp that only captured a fraction of what the amp could do. It was like looking at one frame of film from a two-hour movie: beautiful, but incomplete. Component-Based Modeling? captures the entire signal path: the cabinet' components and acoustic behavior, the multiple clipping stages, the power feedback and tube saturation characteristics, and the speaker and output transformer interaction. Even cabinet size and composition are factored in. It gets the whole picture, so you get the whole tone. The end result not only sounds like the amp you want, it acts like the amp you want whether playing with a soft touch or digging in. It's an amp modeling breakthrough that must be heard to be believed.

Comments about Digitech GNX3000 Modeling Digital Guitar Board:
Hello to all,
I will not dwell on the sheer power of this modeling pedal. You can do about ANYTHING you want with it, and it sounds superb. My biggest issue with this is that when the pedal is used in brightly lit outdoor venues, both covered and not, the sunlight is just so bright that you can NOT read the displays. Below is the comment I sent to Digitech, and their response.

Hi there,
Had an RP7, which gave way to an RP2000. One of the WORST problems with the RP2000 was the display. It is not bright enough to be visible when on stage at an outside venue.
At a show in Atlanta, both my RP2000 and my Triton LE 76 keyboard were useless on stage in the 3 pm sunlight. I was able to adjust the contrast on the Triton to make it barely readabiel, but even trying to put a shade in front of the RP2000, it was unreadable...
I won't tell you what I did with the RP2000, but I recently bought a GNX3000. I have a 30 day money-back guarantee. I have had it for 3 weeks
and 3 shows...
In each case, the pedal was as hard to read as the RP2000. We were on outdoor stages, covered but sun was so bright ambient light made the
thing nearly unreadable.
I am also an ex Lockheed Martin Engineer... So I put on my engineering hat...
Come on, a RED background for the RED LED's? When the sun is bright, the LED becomes way less visable, and the red background becomes brighter
because it is now well lit. There MUST BE CONTRAST betwen the LED segments/color and the background... Why not have a BLAC background so
the RED LED segments have the maximum contrast to the background.
Same goes for the Alpha display. They are a green/yellow, and the background is green/yellow. In the bright sunlight, this too is a wash.
I am returning the GNX3000 because I can not go through this sort of problem during the summer months where we are doing lots of outdoor shows.
Someone in your desigh group should have to take the pedal out into the outside world and use it during bright of day situations. On a covered stage with bright ambient light is next to impossible to read, never mind a stage that has no cover, or where the sun comes in the front of the stage as the day progresses.
While I REALLY want the GNX3000 features, I may try an RP500 - bue ONLY after I go somewhere that has one out on the floor where I can take it
outside and evaluate how well it can be read in bright light.
