I have a Pair of dual Yamaha speakers, but I understand that todays economy people are on a budget and I had to lower my price since my gigs are a lot smaller. Bringing heavy speakers to a house party is just not pratical anymore. You need something very light wieght and have enough sound that can be heard for a good amount of people. This is why I chose this speaker. The clarity of this little thing is unbelivable! Furthermore, for a 8 inch woofer.. it has some kick to it! However, I did a gig not to long ago expecting it to be less then 50 people, but later it got packed and atleast 150 people showed up. I pushed these little things very hard and it did a good job because it did not blow, but also distorted on certain heavy bass songs. But on clarity.. its the best speaker I have heard. All that is needed is a subwoofer to help with all the lows that todays music uses.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

THIS IS THE BEST SOUNDING SPEAKER FOR ITS SIZE. IF YOU WANT BIG QUALITY SOUND IN A SMALL PACKAGE, THEN LOOK NO FURTHER. EV IS THE WAY TO GO.
