The Ecler Nuo 4.0 is a great looking & great performing mixer. I would give this mixer 5 stars if the mic channel sounded better. A mic can be used on either channel 3 or 4, but they are "LINE" level, not "MIC" level inputs. The sound gets distorted @ high volumes.
The good news is that this problem is easily solved with a $40 Behringer preamp which is not a bad thing to have anyway!

I bought this mixer just to be different because every Dj has either a Rane or Pioneer. ("I have one, yeah, me too!) The Ecler sounds great and has an excellent crossfader. It is also less expensive than its competitors.

I bought this mixer to use with Traktor 3.0 and Ableton LIVE because of ECLER's great reputation and because of its MIDI controls. For the price, this mixer offers great sound and build quality, and a good amount of MIDI controls! I highly reccommend it!
