The unit is completely portable using a standard 9V battery (AC adapter is included, battery is not). Great for uplighting static LED colors. Connect the unit to your first light,set your DMX color mixing, THEN UNPLUG and just touch the DMX cable to the next light. The color will be uniform across all lights (if they are the same brand). The lights do not have to have DMX cables running between them (ie master-slave).
This is extremely efficient and the battery power allows you to carry the unit with the selected DMX code without being reset. Anyone who does uplighting with DMX capable lights should get one of these.

Q:
I need a simple DMX system to be able to dim 2, separate ETC Source 4 Elipsoidal stage lights with 750W lamps in each.
I'm thinking this SDC6, controlling two American DJ UNIPAK-II Single CH DMX Dimmer Packs (rated at 10A each) would do the trick.
Am I understanding this setup correctly?
