Comments about Fender FA125SF Folk Style Acoustic Guitar Pack:
I wanted a small body "folk" style acoustic and tried several at local music stores. I didn't realize this was an entry level value pack guitar when I tried it, the finish is nice and it has a nice tone and almost Fender electric neck. With a solid top this is a very good starter guitar, I have been using it almost non-stop for songwriting and working out arrangements for an acoustic group. It's very comfortable to play an works well for me for that. On the negative side, the neck is also a little narrower as well as thin, so for bigger hands or people wanting a serious finger-style acoustic this is a problem. The high e-string requires some regular tuning, thought that could just be one bad or loose tuner as the others don't have that problem. The one other comment I'd make as a negative is that the guitar isn't very loud. Overall, the playability and sound is above average for the price, for a starter guitar it would be an excellent choice. It works for me as a guitar to sit around and noodle on and work on tunes, but I can't see using it live, though the fairly even tonal range might make it usefull for recording, if the high e stays in tune anyway.
