According to Fender, all "Fender" products are U.S. made, their "Squier" line is China Made.A:
Yes it is made in Mexico .If it were American made it would be advertised as Fender American Standard Telecaster .if you can see a fender in person at a guitar store you can look at the base of the kneck there is a plate with a serial if it starts with a M in the serial it is Mexican made will not go no further there are to many serials .But you will not get and American made Telecaster for under $800.00 dollars unless you are lucky .But the Mexican made Fenders are just fine give one a try and see for yourself.
