In other words, their trussing is made from certified T-6082, high quality aluminum and steel which is the same material air planes are made of! This durable, yet lightweight, brushed aluminum is crafted so it both absorbs and reflects light giving your set-up a polished attractive appearance, as well as the strength and ruggedness you would expect from Global Truss. These square building and/or extension segments are constructed with a heavy duty tubing that is 2" in diameter. These outer support beams are 11 7/16" apart and held together by sturdy 3/4" diagnal bracings.

This trussing overall is really amazing. It's light but yet strong. I have been using it in my show for almost 3 years and I have yet to find a job it can't handle. I have used these standing on end to hold lighting and even put a moving head on top. When used on a stage, if looks are important to you make sure you use a truss warmer! The look is really awesome.
The one bad thing I have found is when I use them for a sky-drop they are extremely hard to link end to end. We end up having to wear ear protection and use a hammer to pound the pins in place to hold the trussing together. The same is also true when we strike a show. We have to fight to get them apart. Anyone in theater knows about tight schedules and having to spend this extra time is a pain.
Bottom line is the truss IS amazing stuff. Anyone looking to expand their show should seriously consider this.
