I keep two amps and a power conditioner in the case. The case rolls easily and the retractable handle is adequate on smooth surfaces.
When I tried to pull the case over a door sill, the retractable handle came apart.
I usually lift the case up by the solid handle for curbs or steps, but since this was a small edge, I thought I could pull it over it.
The retractable handle is not as rugged as those on good suitcases, considering the case could hold a lot more weight and there is no way to repair or replace the handle. It would be nice to be able to replace the handle, but the handle enclosure is riveted into the case and there's no way to get at the inside part of the handle.
I would recommend this to a friend with a caution to only use the retractable handle on smooth, flat surfaces and not try to pull over anything greater than maybe 1/4".
