I am very impressed with this mixer, it was very easy to connect to my laptop. I did however have to download the software from their website, once I did this I was ready to roll. The jog wheels are VERY sensetive, but you can turn them off. The VDJ software was an added bonus. Very light and easy to take with you. This is a great little mixer with a lot of features, perfect for a beginner or experienced DJ.

Very easy to use and also extremely convenient. I have used the MKII for a year now and I've never had a problem rocking a party. I've been playing music for a long time. No moore record crates or preping cds!!! Just 2 Speakers, Amp, eq,laptop and the MKII. I went from records to cds and now digital files. I'm using the Virtual DJ Home edition instead of the pro because the Home Edition allows you to set 5 cue points per song. The sound is great, the effects are good but I wish it had echo and the sample capabilities are awsome. I would recomend MKII to anyone.

People slept on this device But every since I upgraded the PC and Laptop I haven't had any problems the item is very reasonable for pricing and works with every program I tried execpt for the rane software. Highly recommend this product

This little wonder performs great. I've had one for almost two years and I use it a lot, whether around the house, putting on a show, deejaying a party, whatever.
It is versatile and extremely customizable, but it does take some getting used to and reconfiguring if setting it up with another program.
I use it with Tractor 3, and once you get things the way you like and get used to it, you can do anything.
The program it comes with is okay, but bare bones and no flair, but it is compatible with anything that supports USB MIDI, so it goes well with anything.
Incorporated with other components or standalone with an amp and some speakers this is a good thing to have working with you and saves the hassle of relying on the inaccuracy of a mouse control when the pressure is on.

i use the hercules with virtual dj software, and it works well. no more cd's to make really. sound is clear and my mixes are precise. get with the times. the dj game is changing to this. join the evolution. it has all the features needed when djing, the problem is the wheels are too close so you got to be careful not to touch when fadeing.but overall it's the bomb.
