Thanks to tubelike distortion, smooth sustain, fat tone, and use by artists too numerous to mention, the Tube Screamer has been and continues to be the worlds most popular solid state overdrive. So much so that after production of the TS9 ended in 1984, used TS9s were going for as much as four times their original price at vintage shows just a few years later. So we brought it back. And what the original TS9 was, the reissue TS9 is - same parts, sane circuitry and metal housing, same seasick green paint, same factory, and the new TS9s actually built by many of the same people who built the old TS9s (compare that to other so-called reissues). The Tubescreamer is one of those mythical pedals you constantly hear about. Many great players - including SRV - have used the Tubescreamer as a pedal to augment their tube amp tone.
