There is no single stomp box more famous than the Ibanez Tube Screamer.
Thanks to tubelike distortion, smooth sustain, fat tone, and use by artists too numerous to mention, the Tube Screamer has been and continues to be the worlds most popular solid state overdrive. So much so that after production of the TS9 ended in 1984, used TS9s were going for as much as four times their original price at vintage shows just a few years later. So we brought it back. And what the original TS9 was, the reissue TS9 is - same parts, sane circuitry and metal housing, same seasick green paint, same factory, and the new TS9s actually built by many of the same people who built the old TS9s (compare that to other so-called reissues). Most importantly, your brand new TS9 will have the same great tone that made the first TS9s a collectors item.
The Tubescreamer is one of those mythical pedals you constantly hear about. Many great players - including SRV - have used the Tubescreamer as a pedal to augment their tube amp tone. It adds that unmistakable grit to solos, puts a little extra punch in the rhythm and makes your guitar scream when you want (hence the name). The originals discontinued in 1984 are now extremely rare and therefore (as always) very expensive, but Ibanez has solved that problem. The TS9 was re-released a few years ago offering that unmistakable sound at a great price. Why waste all your savings on one pedal The TS9 is authentic in all ways and recreates that vintage Tubescreamer vibe.

Comments about Ibanez 9 Series Tube Screamer:
It's a compact and simple pedal that does a great job at what it's meant to do - push the front end of tube amps. You can use it in front of a solid state amp, and it'll sound okay, but it just doesn't compare. You can use this for nearly any genre where you need that extra little "oomph" in your sound.
I've had it for about 6 months now, used in my home and out gigging, and no problems at all. Great pedal!
Just to note: the pedal isn't as bright as it looks in this picture. They must've had a light shining directly on it or something.
