Rapidly adding to its groundbreaking and industry-standard EON series portable loudspeakers, JBL introduces the EON300 series portable PA loudspeakers at AES. The EON300 series puts the next generation of EON systems within reach of an even broader range of users, delivering the same fundamental design features, sonic performance and integrated utility as the new EON500 series, at an even more affordable price.
The EON305 is a 15-inch, two-way, passive, portable speaker system. It is a light weight loudspeaker system capable of fullbandwidth reproduction at high levels. The EON315 is comprised of a 380 mm (15 in) JBL woofer, a 25.4 mm (1 in) neodymium high frequency compression driver coupled to a 100° H by 60° V waveguide. The system will handle 250 watts continuously and 1000 watts peak.

Comments about JBL Pro JBL EON305 2-Way Passive Portable Speaker System:
I bought these primarily because of their light (33 lbs) weight to mount on posts above my JBL MRX-518S sub-woofers which DO kick butt. I had been using some other 3-way full range speakers which are great, but they were cumbersome at 80 lbs to mount / unmount from the posts on the sub-woofers.
They also work really well in a small room by themselves, but they work just as well in a large room with support from the sub-woofers with external cross-over.
JBL is absolutely my choice for speakers. I've never had a problem with any of them, & I'm still using two that have been in service since 1997.
And all my JBL stuff along with amps, CD players, & everything else came from PSSL.

Comments about JBL Pro JBL EON305 2-Way Passive Portable Speaker System:
Great sound but they are heavier than advertised. I think the catalog said they weigh 16 pounds each. The box it came in weighed in at 32 pounds. Now keep in mind that the box itself was heavy duty and weighed at least 5 pounds by itself, but I estimate the weight of the speakers at about 25 pounds each.
The sound is great. I've actually gotten complements to the sound quality since I started. The handles on the sides and top make it easy to move them around and lift them up.
If you're getting these speakers, definitely get a carrying case for them. The exterior is hard plastic and I've already gotten several dings on the it just from loading and unloading them from my truck.
Still, I'm very happy with the speakers. I just wish they were a bit lighter.

Comments about JBL Pro JBL EON305 2-Way Passive Portable Speaker System:
These speakers are awesome and lightweight. JBL's are truely the best. I have owned Mackie, Cerwin Vega, and Yamaha speakers and JBL's still top the list. If you're looking for a lightweight powerful speaker than these EON's are for you. I am very impressed with the new design and it's capabilities.
