Comments about JBL Pro JBL EON515 450 Watt Powered 15" Portable Speaker +:
If you need volume to fill med, large rooms you will need a drive rack. The Eon G2s dose not need any help with power! I was about to buy the new 515s untill my fellow dj's told me about the power of the older Eon G2s and the savings at about $300. less. 46lbs on the G2s vs 34lb on the 515s only the weight wins over G2s,not power! As long as it's JBL you can't go wrong.

Comments about JBL Pro JBL EON515 450 Watt Powered 15" Portable Speaker +:
I must say that the new 515 are a lot lighter than my G2's, but really lack in volume. There's an issue here that someone needs to correct. You have to run these on max volume to get the same effect as half volume on the G2's. I have to run the main volume on my mixer at least 2 clicks higher for the same effect. I'm a little disappointed in JBL on this one. Will not replace my G2's with these.

Comments about JBL Pro JBL EON515 450 Watt Powered 15" Portable Speaker +:
I own 2 pairs of these babies, they sound incredibly crisp and the fidelity is awesome, also added to my mobile system 2 PRX518S SUBS nad already had 2 JRX118SP. You really have to hear this system, 4 JBL EON515, 2 PRX518S and 2 JRX118SP and you have a total of 3,400 Watts RMS.
I have used this system in a room full of arround 1,200 people and everybody was amazed of the clear and Hi-end sound and hard pumping Bass...I love Bass !!!!, incredible for House, Trance, Dance, Old school, you name it.
JBL you really did it this time......Oh did I mention they are very very light weighted, and the looks are very nice...no complains whatsoever.

Comments about JBL Pro JBL EON515 450 Watt Powered 15" Portable Speaker +:
If you want lightweight these are the speakers for you. and you can run it all night and it does not heat up. Even outside. As for the sound, Even tho they claim higher wattage then prev models. I don't hear it. Highs are not loud enough. and I think they are approx 20% lower then the older EONS.. and approx 35% lower then the mackie srm-450. I currently own 2 EON515 and onwed Mackie SRM450s The mackies are set to Middle on the volume knob on the back... and the EON 515 I have to run at full VOUME to get the same volume as the mackies. that means I have no headroom.
Conclusion..
JBL: NEEDS MORE POWER, BIGGER HORN.
BUT IF YOU LIKE LIGHTWEIGHT THESE ARE FOR YOU.

Comments about JBL Pro JBL EON515 450 Watt Powered 15" Portable Speaker +:
This speaker surpasses all the horror stories you have heard about Self Powered speaker systems. They do not go thermal and shut down like those other brands, you which ones.LOL! These speakers gave an impressive output and the horn delivered far beyond my expectations. If you need a good speaker that is practical, affordable, and portable you have got to get these. JBL is still the best.

Comments about JBL Pro JBL EON515 450 Watt Powered 15" Portable Speaker +:
Yeah we all heard the self powered horror stories... But I will say that this System Rocks! If you are a Sound Engineer/ DJ/ Musician/ or just a Fanatic, this speaker is for you. I have used Eons since the first release. I still have my first pair. I also use the G2's. Just when I thought you couldn't get any better, JBL/CROWN does it again. The bottom end is massive for a single 15" [...] Oh yeah, so much lighter too!!! The sound as you would expect from JBL is as real as it gets. You are the Engineer so you shape it to your liking. Unlike the over processed and over rated SRM-450, you know the ones that go thermal and shut down.LOL! Once again the EON will still remain as the Powered Speaker that all others will have to reference by.GET THEM NOW... you'll be glad you did. DJPKBOO! Guam,USA
