This is a light weight sub that hits hard. For the size it gets surprisingly low. It's good in a small room but the output isn't to great in larger rooms. Well built and the crossover is pretty good.

Heard it in the store, was nice. Brought it home 02/16/10 and used it for house parties, mobile Djing, home entertainment. Using with two jbl 315's daisy chained. Sounded perfect, loud and clear. 04/19/11 No bass in middle of DJ gig, Thanks for making me look like a fool. I opened it a day later and tested sub, woofer is fine. In it's barely over 1 year of life It has never been red lined/ran hot though I would have to put a big fan on it to keep it cool while djing even though I had never even turned the volume half way up. Long story short: I tested the amp, It's dead, all in all I would only 25% recommend this to someone for the great sound quality but, the amp needs to be worked on hence "mine" overheated non stop til it eventually died, we will see how many times it ends up in the shop. New product and I'm already looking for a replacement. fun part about my situation is I only had a 1 year warranty through the company I had purchased it through... Boo

Wow great for local gigs! Light weight! self powered and runs allnigh long. Love the fact that it has a bilt in cross over. it packs a big punch.
Also light weight for road gigs.

Purchased in April of 09 and used 3 times. Went to turn on at a gig and didn't work. Handled it with extreme care, so there was no "abuse" reason for not working. Not typical of most other JBL products, but don't waste your time.

Great add on sub to my mobile DJ system. I wish this came out years ago. For an 18in sub, I thought the cabinet would be heavy. This is very light and portable. I used to bring around CV L36's which required a big cargo van. Now I can lug my scaled down system in a SUV. Highly recommended for those who need the extra low-end in their portable sound system.

I purchased one of these subs and man was I blown away by the sound and love the fact that I will not have to break my back moving them from gig to gig. They sound great with the EON 515, can't waite to purchase the second one.

I bought one of these subs about six months ago, Man was i surprised at the sound quality . This sub has a lot of punch . I have this running with a pair of Peavey impulse tops and they sound so great together. I was considering the Eons tops but was not pleased at the output sound so i went for the passive Peaveys . At 65 pounds these are perfect for the mobile guys .I would definitely recommend these to anyone who likes a great performing speaker, even though they are a little pricey [$]they are well worth every penny. I am even considering purchasing another one soon. Thanks
