What Amp do you recommend to run 4 of these?

null on Nov 7, 2011
BEST ANSWER: I recommend 2 QSC RMX-5050 - 1600 watts @ 4 ohms per channel in stereo.
Hi, i have a few questions, but I'm gonna try to reduce them to one. Is this sub a good match for the JBLSRX715 (top) ? if it is, is the crown XTi4000 a good match for the sub ? and last one what is the best way to connect this sub ? in bridge mono mode or stereo using each side of the amp for each driver ?
Thanks !

I am just wondering about the design of the speaker-usually when I stand a dual sub vertically the frequency tends to drop off an not travel well due to it being up off the floor. How well does the sound carry from this sub, since it is meant to be stacked vertically?

BEST ANSWER: The answer to this question depends on your application and installation. With stacked subwoofers, you are focusing the frequencies more directionally than by placing them horizontally. Now in outdoor applications, this would decrease your overall signal distance, but reduce unwanted noise complaints. However in an indoor application, this technique would actually reduce sound from bouncing off ceilings and floor surfaces. Ironically, by stacking subwoofers this actually "widens" the low-end spectrum, but reduces how far the sound waves travel. In an indoor application however, you can compensate some of the low-end roll off by placing your subwoofer in a corner of the room, preferably on a hard surface.
