PRX512M is the most compact and versatile speaker in the PRX500 Series. It has been designed to deliver the most performance for its weight and size as both a stage monitor and a front of house main PA.

Comments about JBL Pro JBL PRX512M 12In 2-Way Powered Speaker:
I've used several speakers from Bose 802's, EV SX 200's & 300's, EAW UB 82's, EV Eliminators, Mackie SRM-450, JBL Eon G2, and most recently RCF Art 312's. They are all gone now, except for my 802's. I bought 4 of these PRX 512m's. The horns are sweet to the ear, and the bass is punchy. I would say the bass was equal to my RCF's of past, but the vocals come out of these without hurting any ears. They don't shut off like the Mackies when pushed to the limit. They are more attractive than the EX SX series. I would say for up to rooms with 100 people, a pair of these do just fine. I also purchased PRX subs, and did an event with well over 500 people. The sound reached even the far corners of the room! The best powered speakers I've owned! I get compliments everywhere with them. Lightweight, Powerful, and clean sounding. There is only ONE flaw though. It seems Crown put a gate in the input section of the amplifier, so that the A/C hum or buzz cannot be heard. So at very very low volume, it seems like your music is cutting in and out , because the gate is acting in. I guess it's a good thing when your not providing any music and your audience doesn't have to hear a buzzing coming from your speakers. Maybe not really a flaw after all.
