Comments about JBL Pro JBL PRX718S 18" Powered 700 Watt Subwoofer *:
This past Saturday, at a fairly raging pool party, I used this sub for the first time. I found its' performance to be very impressive and so did the 80 or so people in attendance. I set up in the living room and placed the sub in front of my DJ desk. The candles and figurines that were situated on the wall sconces in the living room failed to make it through one song before the chest and head thumping bass had rattled them close to and finally, over the edge, sending them crashing to the floor. The owner of the venue might have been annoyed if I hadn't already warned him that I was bringing my new sub and expected it to bang real hard. I set the gain to 12:30 and never looked back and never needed any more pop than that. I have it paired with EV zx4(passive)tops and the system is a winner.
