Amazing Tone On Stage and In The Studio! Once you create your own custom sound, you can save it and instantly recall it anytime.
While most bass combos focus on volume and clean tone, LowDown amps offer an array of killer bass amp models that cover everything from funk to classic rock and beyond.
Plus, the high-speed power amp has incredible articulation and bottom end punch that’s ideal for live or studio work.
The XLR Direct Output was designed for recording or sending your sound to a house sound system when you’re playing live. This output utilizes our exclusive A.I.R.™ processing which has made Line 6 products like POD® the undisputed standard for direct recording.
Whether you’re playing a gig in a club or rushing off to a recording session, this POD based direct out will give you huge, mic’d amp tone everywhere you go!
AMP MODELS:
Clean
Inspired by* the Eden Traveler, this model is all about clean, funk and fusion bass tone. It’ll give you all the warm lows and punchy highs you need
R&B
Inspired by* a 1968 B-15 Flip Top, this model is a tribute to those late 60’s and early 70’s clean fat bass tones. It is the kind of tone you hear on most Motown recordings, as played by a pioneering young James Jamerson.
Rock
This model is inspired by* the ’74 Ampeg® SVT®. This workhorse has appeared on innumerable recordings and arena stages worldwide. And now all the tone of the 300-pound behemoth 8X10 and head is available in your combo!
Grind
As the name would suggest, this is for modern rock lovers, Alice in Chains to Mudvayne and Rage Against The Machine. Based on* a distorted SansAmp PSA-1 into an SVT® in addition to a direct clean bass signal mixed in, this model gives you that angry, clear and punchy aggression that takes your sound to DEFCON 1.
Finally, there’s a line of bass combos that give you great tone, performance, and flexibility all at an incredible price.

What The Pro`s Are Saying...
“The ROCK tone in this thing is nailed! Unlike other combos, it makes me feel like I am playing through my kick ass
stage rig.”
Tim Payne (Thursday)
"When I’m on a small stage but need to have that big classic amp sound, this will definitely be my amp"
Sean Hurley (Vertical Horizon, bassist for Anastacia, Mya)
"Being a vintage guy, I’ve never gotten excited about new amps for bass players, but the LowDown has completely changed
my mind. This thing sounds unbelievably fat. The octave and synth sounds are killer."
Jonathan Ahrens (bassist for Liz Phair, Matt Redman, Josh Kelley)
"Finally, something that really delivers the old school dirt with portability."
Liam Wilson (The Dilinger Escape Plan)
“A combo bass amp with tone, versatility and attitude. What a revolutionary concept! Thanks Line 6.”
Ric Fierabracci (bassist for Chick Corea, Dave Weckl)
“A really fast-tracking, flexible synth bass sound I can actually use in the real world - very cool.”
Justin Meldal-Johnsen (Ima Robot, bassist for Beck, Macy Gray)
“My band is in the middle of writing for our next album and the LowDown has given me the ability to create and manipulate awesome new bass tones. The volume this combo produces is shocking. It has opened up a whole new world of inspiration."
Chris Amato (Hidden in Plain View)
"The SVT [‘Rock’ model based on* an SVT®] in this thing is amazing. If you`re looking for a new amp, I recommend the one with multiple personality disorder. I am sure you will love meeting each one."
Lance Morrison (bassist for Alanis Morissette, Don Henley, Volto)

Comments about Line 6 Low Down Studio 110 Bass Combo Amp:
Let’s start with convenience. This is a physically small, light weight amp (1 cubic foot and 24 pounds) with an easy care finish (for go and not for show) with its own carrying handle. All of the controls are easy to get at and see (but I would love to have more visible setting indicators). It includes a CD/MP3 in, XLR out, headphone jack, 4 memory settings, multiple controls including Drive and Compressor, etc.
Performance is everything described starting with 75 watts coming from an appropriately sized 10 inch speaker. The five listed models are very good and what you would expect from Line 6 but what you won’t expect is a hidden additional sixth model which seems to only be found on larger Lowdown combos. It is the Brit mode which is based on a ’68 Marshall® Super Bass. This model delivers the kind of overdriven bass sound brought to us by late ‘60’s British rock pioneers like Cream and The Who. It can be accessed at turn on in place of the Clean model (Eden Traveler). You can turn it on with either one but you can’t have both on at the same time. While many reviewers like the additional Synch Bass model, I would prefer to give that up and replace it with a built in chromatic tuner.
This is a flexible, affordable and (hopefully) reliable combo amp from a very reputable company with a one year warranty. It has exceeded all of my expectations. Even more impressively, it made my metal loving son smile when I was playing it with the Grind model with a pumped Drive setting. It is a high value product in a very crowded market.
