Torq is the only Dj software that i've found that has high quality key lock pitch shifting. (elastique time stretching). I'm a harmonic mixing dj, so key lock is important to me. with regular key lock you are limited by how far you can slow something down. One thing tho... with elastique time stretching turned on, you have to move your pitch slider slower to avoid audio artifacts. Which is just a side effect of using this high quality key lock. Worth it.

I am a proud owner of M-Audio Torq. I love the interface, diffenent skins, sound, and layout; but there is a great need for improving some features. My first gripe is; there should be two sample bays/channels, it is annoying having to go into setup everyime there is a need to switch to the other channel. The font that list the songs in the bottom should be larger, it's too tiny. The effects should work in bypass mode. Also, I think that M-Audio Avid should produce a Torq interface with Full MIDI capabilities for use with other MIDI Controllers. Just a taught.

CD's and vinyl are a thing of the past..no more thumbing through CDs or carting around heavy records...I simply plug in my external hard drive and mix mp3's with ease...I have a few friends that use Serato and to be honest,this system does everything that Serato does for alot cheaper

I use to have serato, unfortunately it was stolen with my other turntables, so i replaced it with torq after doing some research. i've dj'd in some of the biggest clubs in the midwest(1st ave dance club-minneapolis, The Hub-Fargo, nd, O.B.-Fargo, N.D.)this works great for all venues, i also own a mobile dj company that only uses torq and it works great.

So years down the road and finally saying something about my DVS.Where to begin...so at first its frustrating. Finding optimal settings is crucial, when things go wrong during a performance be ready and be smart. I now have 1.5 and it is great. I have played with every DVS with turntables live and they are all great, Torq has just always held features that others dont and didnt. I found the best way to run Torq is with a MAC or high speed PC. I cant begin to tell u the types of tests i have done and what i have found on the leading DVS. Maybe on the M-Audio Forum. To keep all this as short as possible...Torq works people.

i used serato for three yrs until recently when all my equipment was stolen, i decided that since i had not expierenced any other dvs to give this a try being it's been compared to serato in the past...it blew my mind the latency is better than serato, and it was basically plug and play, no need to have to relearn everything, the features are more abundanct as well, great product

I got torq after using it at a gig, I use vinyl all day everyday, but I faded off the seen when cdj's took over. Just couldn't keep up with the music there getttin tracks way to fast, when i'm stuck playin last week stuff. With torq im back and better then ever it gives u that little edge you need to be perfect. In a matter of a week I made it back to a club and now I am the resident there. I flyin a torq banner to let everyone know that turntables are back and here to stay..

M-Audio's Torq COnnective is the best DJ equipment i have ever purchased. The software is super easy to use, set up is a breeze, and the control vinyl and the latency of the software are butter smooth. I am a new DJ, and with torq, i will be hitting the clubs and parties in no time, with top of the line equipment. I reccomend Torq to all Serato and FS2 users. Its like day and night. (especially with the ease of the software, like easy to read displays on screen and simple song bank searches)

Well, $600 can only get you two low end turntables, and maybe a low end two channel battle mixer. As time goes by you will need to upgrade and spend more money. So, it is better to save up more money and get what you really need, there should be no rush. If you like, I have two high end Technics 1200-MKII turntables that I am selling for $500. I can also throw in a Q-D6 American Audio three line scratch mixer with fader start for $100. (USED) Also, you would have to pay for shipping.
