A must if you are running windows 7 64 bit, since it won't read numark's virtual vinyl soundcard. The sound it produces, out performs numark's.

Comments about ESI MAYA-44-USB 4 In 4 Out USB Audio Interface:
I bought the Maya 44 as an audio interface to run with virtual dj. It took some time and thought to setup the timecodes but after I got it running, it worked flawlessly! I was able to scratch, cue my music, crossfade with ease, use effects and much more without ever touching my laptop. I reccomend this product for any beginnner DJ's who arent quite ready for serato... or even professionals who just want a basic setup for the night. This piece of equipment also works for recording but I myself havnt tested these features. It also came with all the necisary drivers and even cubase5 software for recording and effects! Overall I am very happy with this product and have already reccomended it to many other DJ's!
Thanks PSSL!

I had timecode vinyl working on Virtual DJ 6.0 within 20 minutes with this soundcard. Small size fits anywhere and quality is great. Very low latency, couldn't even tell the difference between real record and timecode!

I bought this a few weeks ago to continue diving into the digital world of my mobile dj business. It works great....and for the price...its a steal. I have done a couple of school dances with this unit and it has not failed me. I use it with Virtual DJ and a B-52 Prodigy set-up. Easy set up and break down...I just keep it connected to my Prodigy inside the roadcase, when I get to my gig I just plug the usb into my computer and i'm ready to go.

Well, this piece of equipment is great. For the price? is worth it! But i dont know for other people who bought it, but for me, the only problem that i had with this is that it takes me to the BLUE SCREEN of death on my laptop. this happens to me every time i unplug it, i guess because i have Windows Vista? But im not sure, they should have a better driver for the Vista computers. But overall, This is a great sound card!! Works great with Virtual DJ!!

I used to use Final Scratch 2 and it was a hassle with the connections as I am mobile. This little guy connects easily and doesn't drop anything. I use it with Virtual Vinyl, 2 denon s1000s and a denonx900, I also use AISO4ALL since I have Vista operating system, the included drivers are for xp and 2000. It does take a bit of tweaking initially, especially if you want to run play cds thru, but after that your good to go

Comments about ESI MAYA-44-USB 4 In 4 Out USB Audio Interface:
Beautiful quality, with ASIO latency is 4ms record and 7ms playback (compared to 50ms or more for a normal sound card). Full 96kHz/24-bit on all 8 channels, has level indicators on all channels (in and out) that help troubleshoot problems quickly. Lets you easily convert your CD players or turntables into controllers for your laptop setup. The speed and quality are amazing. Caveat emptor: You do kind of have to know what you're doing with audio equipment and your software to get this working the way it should.

This has taken my "econmical" CD/Mixer rig to professional quality. Use this card to turn your cd players into controllers for your DJ software from you PC. 2 cdplayers+Mixer+PC+maya = Pro mp3 DJ rig. Remember the cost of Serrato? This is totally worth it to get to the next level.

A:
I would suggest calling Numark. 401-658-3131Q:
Okay I know this should be simple: I purchased this to hook up to my computer that is playing off of a Numark CD MIX 2. Right now I connect to my computers headphone jack and then the back of the mixer into the RCA jacks. I've read the owners manual. What hooks up to 'analog in' and what to 'analog out'? I've got plenty of rca cables, just don't want to risk injury to anything. Do I still need to use the install CD, even though I'm not doing any recording? I just use Itunes now but hope to start with some DJ software soon. Thanks!1 answer
