I got this mic [...] almost a year ago. This is a big step up from playing with a hand held mic. I will never go back after hearing the sound I get from a condenser mic. The sound of this mic is actually great. It is also affordable and I believe it to be the perfect mic even for people who are just putting their studio together and don't have too much cash. It connects to your basic computer audio jacks with an included extension powered by a 9volt battery or you can remove the extension and connect it to phantom power via the xlr cable. All around I think this is a great mic. As far as the stand that comes with it, I actually ended up buying a studio mic stand and a popper stopper and this mic looks great on a studio mic stand too. So it is affordable, user friendly, uses 9volt or phantom power, has a great sound, I would say this is a great mic. I hope this review has helped.
