The HD1531 features system tuning and custom-designed transducers by EAW, including a 15? neodymium woofer and WaveFront™ horn-loaded 6?mid and 1.75? heat-treated titanium compression driver. Mackie does not stand by its product . I bought 4 of the dual 18 powered subs and they all went bad. They are a waste of money! I contacted Mackie several times and they will do nothing! So I bought Peavey Qw series and they are the best speaker. I have had no problems and all my clubs sound great. I power the Peavey QW with crown amps and the sound is amazing.

I have had the Mackie HD1531 for over a year now and I have had no problems with them. They have great power and sound i use them for mobile DJ'n and Bar and Grills. so i have used them almost every weekend for the past year and have played up to 10hr strait. overall the HD is a great speaker!
