Solid, Flexible Power Amp
Pros: Versatile,Durable,Great Sound,Reliable,Easy To Set Up
Cons: Heavy

I've used Mackie 1400's for quite a few years and love the ability to run them as High pass, low pass, bridged, stereo , mono - you name it. I set up mobile systems for different size crowds each weekend and with the Mackies I can just daisy chain them and set each amp for it's intended range either running subs, tops or full range. It's simple as no extra crossovers are necessary.

Risky Business!
Pros: Clear sound,Attractive Design
Cons: Heavy,Undependable, unreliable

I bought two Mackie1400i and my brother bought two of the larger models. Sad to report that we might have done better by throwing our money in the toilet and flushing it.

Within the first year of operation all but one of our amps went on the blink (during a gig) for no apparent reason. It over 6 weeks to get the amps back from repair, only for one to go out again!
