True DJs know what sound they are looking for. [$] put into this product has been nothing but a waste. I was sold by the sales rep at the demo room, due to the limit of my funds. Do not buy this product! Read all SINGLE star reviews as they all speak the TRUTH!! Save your money and invest in a better product.

I don't know how this sub got such bad reviews. This sub hits and you can feel it. I used it in a good sized hall and it filled the hall very well with around 200 people in it. I also used it at a smaller event and it too made the sound well rounded. Do not be fooled by the poor reviews. This is a great sub at a fair price.

I had to send back SEVEN of these within 6 months. Exact same thing would happen. signal to sub would go out. the thru would continue to get a signal. HORRIBLE SPEAKERS. DO NOT BUY.

As a mobile DJ,we rely on our equipment to work to it's fullest for each use.After a few uses,I began to have issues with the power.It would turn off and on as if I reached it's peak limit.I wasn't even close to that.Yet my srm450's have worked with no problem at all....The only good thing about this is the warranty.I was able to get it fixed at no charge....I am currently looking to sell this one and buy a new one that's more reliable

I had to return this unit not once but three times because it simply dies, just stops outputting sound. When they are running they sound good especially for the money but now I have to try to sell these units because they are 200% unreliable.

Needed a powered sub to add base to my powered mid range speakers. Finally saved up the money and purchased this sub. The speaker blew up only a few weeks after I purchased it, and right in th middle of a DJ gig! There was a flash, pop and some smoke. This was the 3rd time I had even used it. Not sure what to do now.

I perform each year several high end (Celeb/CEO) Winery Weddings in Napa and Sonoma County, Ca. This sub has complimented each one of those events with a full bass backdrop. I use two SRM1801 with two JBL 15" Powered EONs. I can actually use less volume and get a clearer and smooth sound. Additionally the subs are light in comparisons to others along with a quick and easy set up. I will follow up another review in 6 months to see if there are any changes.

I am a mobile DJ doing about 150 events a year. Mostly weddings. I was a big Mackie fan. I have 4 SRM450's (using only 2 at a time), 3 Mackie mixers and was using a Mackie SRS1500 sub for the past 10 years with no problems.
I saw that Mackie came out with the SRM1801 sub with an 18 instead of a 15. It was also made to compliment the SRM450's. Hmmmm, sounds like a home run! I figured why not go with the new technology... it's gotta be better, right? --- Wrong! After 3 jobs, they just stopped working. I brought them into the 4th job to find out they were dead. Like I said, I used the SRS1500 sub (Mackies first) for 10 years with no problems and this "new" one craps out after 3 jobs.
My other Mackies were made in Italy. The new stuff is made elsewhere and the company is a shell of what it used to be.
I am returning the Mackie Sub and getting a JBL PRX600S. My love affair with Mackie is over!

This is the right subwoofer for the DJ that does not have deep pockets. I got this last Thursday and used it at a BBQ in PA, and it thumped. Nothing but compliments. I have been DJing for over 25 years wih different sound systems, and this is perfect. Will most likely purchase more than one more. Good priduct.

Been a DJ dor a long time and this one kicks butt! The right price for the DJ that does not have deep pockets. Just got one for an outside gig and will most likely pick up at least one more. No issues for me. Great sound and clean.

I just recently purchased this sub to add more bottom end to my SRM450's and man this thing knocks, the room makes a difference but for my mobile DJ rig I haven't had to turn this thing up past 12 o'clock on the sub volume and it thumps really nice especially for the price! Its actually not super heavy but it could be a tad lighter or at least have some casters for easier transportation.

It is not possible to power additional speakers off of a powered speaker. If you are asking if this sub is powerful enough to run side by side with a pair of 450's the answer is yes... this powered sub has plenty enough power to be played with a pair of 450's.
