Comments about Mackie TH-12A Thump 12" 2 Way Powered Loudspeaker:
Now that i'am getting older, 66 to be exact, it was an easy choice. A pair of 15" 2-way 60 lb s each 225 watt passive speakers that i own now, or a pair of 12" 2-way Mackie Thump 32lb each, 400 watt active speakers.
Mackie wins and so do i.

audiophiles will not be happy with this. there was a noticeable difference in sound between the two speakers. being referbs and lower end i can't bash them but you get what you pay for. they are functional loud speakers and thats it.

Comments about Mackie TH-12A Thump 12" 2 Way Powered Loudspeaker:
Where do I begin thanks for giving me some top quality referb speakers. I am amazed at these little speakers punch and power. Stand alone they can and will do the job in most situations. They would be better with subs but you know what even the best speakers in the world at any size also would be better with subs. Stand alone these are tight crisp and powerfull I would use these anywhere including outside Mackie is a top tier product for powered speakers and now I know why before I just read about it but now I get it. Get these speakers they deliver and are the real deal.

Comments about Mackie TH-12A Thump 12" 2 Way Powered Loudspeaker:
I just used my new Mackie TH-12A Thumps for the first time. My old 450SL's were just used up. It was an outdoor gig for about 250 people. I wasn't sure what the outcome would be. The TH-12a's were a sweet surprise. Good full sound and I easily covered the outdoor crowd I am more than pleased with my purchase.

Comments about Mackie TH-12A Thump 12" 2 Way Powered Loudspeaker:
I just picked up 2 Mackie Thump TH-12A's and I have to say, they're on par with the SRM450's I've used. Very tough build quality, clear sound, good output and lightweight. Additionally, while they may not have the best bass output, they're [$] 12"s and they're small enough to warrant you bringing subs too. In fact, at this price point and with the new QSC's, EV's, and higher end Mackies out, I think these are SRM killers.

I Have A Pair Of Thump 15'Powered and i am Very Impress with Them. But Is Just One Thing I hate about Them And that is the mounting hole to the bottom,it don't have the long Screw To Tighten The speaker to the speaker stand to prevent it from turning. Is That The Same Problem With These 12' Speaker.Because if is so,I Have to Change My Mind from Purchasing Them.I was Planing to Purchase a Pair of them.1 answer
