I tried some generic speaker bags for my Mackie Thump 15's before I got these bags… What a waste of time and money, they were cheap bags with thin fabric housing the speakers. I didn't feel safe and in the end I wasn't surprised when carrying the speakers into a gig the no name brand bags ripped and I had to watch my Thump bounce against the asphalt for a a split second. After making a fool out of myself once I'll never go back. I got these bags and the difference is rediculous. Sure, I'm paying 20 dollars more, but I can already tell I would go through 10 more generic bags before these bags get destroyed--not to mention I'd probably go through a few pairs of speakers because the protection was less than unmentionable. These bags are padded enough to feel comfortable travelling with them and I highly doubt I'll ever have to get embarassed again… walking into a gig with one speaker in a bag the other in my hand with a ripped bag over my shoulder looked far from professional. Not to mention these things fit my Thump 15's like a glove! These are awesome and I would highly recommend not wasting your time with the cheap bags, saving money in this department is not worth it!
