The DMX Terminator Plug from Martin is a male XLR connector with a 120 ohm resistor soldered across pins 2 & 3. It goes into the output of the last unit in the link to help keep the signal within the link and keep the signal strong.

I used to run my lights without a terminator, and every once in a while they would act all funky. I finally decided to purchase this product and it istantly made a difference. My fixtures react a lot quicker to the DMX commands than previously, before the terminator. I like to play with the lights and change its functions on the fly. This product has made a dramatic difference.
