The Mania PR1 is a 250 W image projector designed for high-quality projections of patterns, images, logos and messages. It is a high precision optic luminaire to herald your image, your logo, your decoration or your message onto any wall, floor or ceiling. With an interchangeable pattern disk (gobo) you can adjust your message to whatever the occasion – clubs, birthdays, bar mitzvahs or weddings. Color filters can also be added and as with all Mania products, there is no duty cycle so it can run all night!

I've been using this light for a few years projecting monograms at weddings. It does a great job. I've never had a problem with it. It could be updated, seems like a throwback to the '70s if you compare it with more modern lighting fixtures. An update to this light should include making it lighter weight, LED, fully adjustable image size, keystone correction. Other than that it gets the job done as is. (This is minor but Martin uses a quality extension cord, not the stiff type found on most other brands of lighting products. This one you can easily coil, nice and soft.)

I bought one and it burned out in 2 hours. PSSL guaranteed it and the second one made it through 1 1/2 jobs and burned out again. I wasted my money and had to refund the second jobs money because of the burnout. Now I have to buy another Lamp and pray for no more burnouts on the next job.

We use it to project our logoat trade shows. We also use also project monogram type gobos on the dance floors at weddings. It's pretty bright and easy to use. They only knock on the product is weight. It's heavy so buy a good light stand.

This product is used mostly for wedding applications.
It is easy to set up, easy to install gobos, runs all night and great projection.
Runs a little warm and needs a cool down period but never a problem

I had mine for few years now and it gets banged up from loading and unloading. little heavey if you have to lift it up high and mount it yourself. alot of place I play the rooms are not to dark. so I am always looking for something that shows up with a semi-bright dance floor.

This thing works better than the standard gobo in a spotlight (at least you adjust the lens for clarity/sharpness). The only thing is it's kinda heavy, can't wait until they come up with an LED version of this.

I've had this light for about 2 weeks. I finally got to use it at a Sweet 16, and of course we bought the Sweet 16 gobo for the event. Projection onto the ground was Awesome from about 15' high and 20' away. Although through the night I decided to project this on the huge tree on the next block from the house I was at. At about 200' away, about 75' from the ground the projection was extremely clear and very, very large on the tree. Each letter was about 15-20' tall. Very Impressive!!!

This is my first Gobo Projector, and after much research I am very happy with my settlement. Options were the Martin PR-1, American DJ Colorspot Gobo Projector and the new AMDJ 10w Indoor projector. Martin has great reviews, hands down you get what you pay for. It also comes with Holiday gobos for X-Mas, Halloween, New Years, and Bday's. Definately for the Mobile Dj/ Club this is a great buy.

My wife and I own a DJ service and wanted to use something other than a banner to showcase our name, so we shopped around and found the PR-1. The unit came shipped with several different gobo's and we also ordered one of our own. It projects very well and we love the rotating feature. Being a wedding DJ, it is a great way to get the bride and groom's name out there during the reception. A lot of fun.

The ease of this piece of equipment is Awsome!! The clarity of the Gobo's is amazing. The only thing that I could see to make this product more efficient is if it had an additional lense that could be applied if needed in a certain space.
