I have recently become a big fan of Martin after my PR-1 purchase. I have come to find that if you spend a little more money you get a lot more perfomance. I owned 2 American DJ Scan 250's before this, the optics and overall quality is 10x better than other scanning lights. Not listed in the features, this comes with a bracket that can be used to mount this light via Ceiling, Wall or even to place on a table top. Martin Lighting is hands down the best, if you have to save up a little more money. Trus me you will be beyond satisfied!

I've been running my own business for about 7 years now and I started out with American DJ, Chauvet, etc products. If I could do it all over again I would have bought Martin from the beginning. They are the best of the best when it comes to lighting and I can not stress that enough. I will continue to always buy Martin products because they are extremely dependable and the light shows they put on are amazing!

The Martin SCX500's definitely stand up to the Martin name. The first thing to note about the lights is the weight, meaning they are rugged and robust. There is a definite difference between the lower end lights and these Martins. The beam is plenty bright enough for only 150W. I was limited by power supplies at mobile gigs, thus I wanted less draw. These Martin's do the trick. The stand alone and DMX features are great! They can be a little tricky setting up, but still don't take very long. I could not ask for more in these lights! Highly recommended to anyone looking for mobile or club lights. Spend the money and buy Martin's. A+

We have used two of the SCX500's for alot of different types of events. From High School dances to medium sized concerts. The colors are vivid and the gobo's it comes with are perfect for any event. The LED display also helps when addressing them or configuring master/slave modes.
