I have been committed to high end school events for 10 years and have owned or used most brands: Starting the company with little money, knowledge, or light/sound experience I can attest to the learning curve. If I could do it all over, I would have hands down purchased nothing but Martin lighting. Martin is the segway between reliability and the best light shows imaginable. When it comes to DJ lights, the saying holds true: What's cheap isn't always good, and what's good isn't always cheap. There is a reason these lights weigh as much as they do. The optics are extremely precise, other lighting companies cannot even come close to this high level of precision. [...] The SCX600's are without a doubt a lot of money to spend per fixture. Yet, I started out with 8 SCX500's and after four years of dependability, and customer satisfaction, it was time for an upgrade. I am using a martin freekie programmer, though it does a great job, it's time for LightJockey II. For those of you wondering if the price difference between Martin and the others is worth it, lets look at product lines. These other companies pump out so many products each year, they have no time or money to put into the non profitable yet necessary research and development hours necessary to produce great products. They are discontinuing as many products as they are releasing. Martin puts out very few products yet the time and effort put into each and every light is what makes the difference.

Im in the entertainemt business DJ/stage shows and let me tell you i had three scanners like these before and disliked then for no light fade.color split and gobo spin. It has a long beam throw and glossed mirrors for that crisp clear color and gobo. I have two of these lights and getting a whole bunch more
