This clamp is used with a pin-light to be placed in various locations (on the truss, light stand, speaker stand, table, etc) Since I don't know where it will go until I get to the venue, I need something with a variable width.
It can be clamped to anything.
It is a bit cumbersome. Twisting it closed takes some time. It has a tendency to leave marks on posts and truss, sometimes leaving small dents when closed too tightly.
The o-clamp is a much better clamp, as long as you keep it on one type of fixture.

There are no rubber tips on the threaded ends of the clamps. This will take the paint off and possibally dent the cross bars that the clamps attach to.
