This is a sweet hunk of hardware. BE WARNED. Native instruments shipped a lot of these with faulty power supplies. If you have blinking lights, or very dim ones, simply contact them for a replacement.

The system was easy to set up and use. The only problem I had was not applying the software updates on first set up. This gave me the warning light.

Computer and S2 in my backpack. Ultra portable. very fast set up. Sound card is very clean. 4 hot que/samples are place on the bottom is perfect for drumming. And if you need more controls just press both shift button and you can map everything. Button and nubbs are spacecd out perfectly. I use this to play and have my old 2 cdj400+djm400 for backup. The only thing I would want from this unit is to be able to connect my cd players to it. but I guess that's why they have the S4. Overall highly recommend this unit to beginner that want to be a digital dj. "If you use all the features on this unit you'll be wowing your crowd" I only about 150 hours on my unit and it had been really fun. It has everthing I need in a unit that fits in my backpack.

Very well built unit. Lots of great features to rock a party from rookie dj to pro dj. I just wish traktor would have kept it the same as the s4 allowing for a more spaceious layout and for guys looking to switch from the s4 to the s2 they wount have to buy a new case which is what I did. Thats just my opinion. Overall this unit is dope and traktor is the ish. Stop thinking about it and be about it. Go get you one.

I've been deejayin for 10+ years. I retired by Technics and sold them.. boy I made that mistake when Technics retired cause they are expensive to buy now. One thing i do not regret is getting this controller. i have had a vestax typhoon, mixtrack pro, xponent... name it, i have tried it. it could never replace vinyl, thats a fact. but this digital age, everyone is moving on to controllers. This controller is practically the best and closest feel i felt to vinyl turntables. I plan to buy a traktor s4 when i can, but im thinking of getting another one! its that good. traktor is somewhat easy to install, but it all depends. if you want to map it, its a bit tricky. but overall, this is a keeper! serato- eh... its industry standard, but traktor offers more options.trust me you wont regret getting one of these!

I find new tricked out things I could do with it everytime I throw down, now I'm thinking about getting the Traktor Kontrol X1....

There are a lot of great products out there in the DJ controller category. All of them have their own characteristics and features that some prefer over the other. As far as the S2, it comes from the same company that makes Traktor. It provides great control over the program. It all really depends on your needs.
