The Numark 5000FX is a 5-channel DJ mixer with sampling, scratching, and effects. It features high quality analog mixing and sophisticated digital functionality in a 14" by 12" tabletop design. Ideal for club or remix DJs, the 5000FX offers live audio and sampler scratching, plus 30 seconds of high quality sampling with pitch adjustment and ?smart loop.? Loops can be automatically synced to audio via beatkeeper technology. Digital effects include chop, echo, delay, isolate/kill/vocal kill, distortion and sonar. An interactive scratch/effect/pitch wheel allows responsive scratching, smooth effect transitions and precise pitch adjustment for locking samples to the tempo of incoming music. Other slammin? features include dual BPM meters, 18 seconds of audio buffering, fader start and a replaceable crossfader with adjustable slope for tight cuts or gradual crossfades. The flexible configuration of the 5000FX includes five channels with three phono, nine line (three switchable to phono) and two mic inputs-including a top-mounted Neutrik jack that accommodates both XLR and "? connectors. Each of the five channels includes independent bass, mid and treble EQ controls with frequency kills, as well as pre-fader level meters. Outputs include XLR balanced and RCA unbalanced master, zone, booth, record and S/PDIF digital.

Needed an immediate replacement mixer for the nighclub where I deejay and not much money to work with. Owner was thrilled at the price and I was happy with the features, high-quality (Alesis)sound effects and ease of operation. A great choice for mobile & club use, not necessarily the best choice for scratching because of the non-replaceable crossfader unless you take the face off.

I returned a Behringer DJX700 and got this instead. Outstanding mixer for mobile/club DJ use! This mixer sounds great and is easy to operate. Sound effects are awesome and so is the British (3-Band) EQ on each channel. Faders are smooth with just the right amount of resistance. Tons of inputs & outputs and the XLR out is great for running powered speakers. My only complaints are that the A/C adapter transformer is too bulky and hard to hide in my DJ coffin and that there should be more space between the crossfader & the first 3 channels. That being said, Numark hit the nail on the head with this mixer. Being 1/2 the price of a Pioneer DJM600, I think it's a better value. Numark has always made great DJ mixers and this one is proof. I highly recommend it.

great mixer all around, great sampling, only bad thing is a couple of effects are pretty worthless but the quality of the mixer overshadows that.
