The cdx is the best cd player you can buy for its price bracket meaning up to around [$]and will be the realist feel to a traditional turntable. The sound quality is not as good as pioneer and if you're are able to spend [$]and up I would personally go with pioneer. The effects are awesome and very easy to use, the power and ruggedness are outstanding, looks and feels just like a vinyl turntable just without the tone arm. Some negative things about the cdx: the scratch sound quality not being as perfect as the pioneer cdj1000 mk3, the cd load in and out can sometimes give you a scare and they are very big and heavy. Overall I would highly recommend this unit to anyone and I believe Numark will continue to improve on what they're doing.DJ BLaZE

I've owned three of these units. 1st one had the "cd eject" issue that numark offered new drive that fixed issue but I had to buy the drive because they wouldn't cover the original drive. I felt they should have covered the junk cd drive since it happened after the 1st month of use. Numark said that I shouldn't have used them for "mobile djing". Even though in their advertisements are "mobile dj's" who recomended these as "excellent for the mobile dj"! Next issue was the ribbon cable would not stay connected to motherboard causing controls to malfunction. Then due to the multiple times I had to reinsert the ribbon cable the connector came loose from motherboard destroying unit. Replaced unit under my mobile insurance coverage but next unit had again the "cd ejecting" issue. These units are complete junk!! Save your money and buy pioneers. Which is what I replaced my numarks cdxs with (2-CDj1000mk3's). I bought the cdxs because of the price & wanting to upgrade my old pioneer set-up that had been reliable for many years.(2-original CDJ500II, with djm 500 mixer)

Comments about Numark CDX Table Top CD Player:

Though Numark scores high on innovative feature on this unit, newbies BEWARE with the CDX. Weak cd drive assembly, flimsy ribbons, and faulty motherboard are only among the few items that is wrong with this item. If you have a lot of luck in your life, do gamble and buy a set. However, most likely, you will waste money just like 90% of the people who bought these units.

Comments about Numark CDX Table Top CD Player:

I love these turntables, thier great for mixing, but I would not recommend them to be used for traveling gigs, their good for in studio mixing & production, Numark should have took thier time & perfected this turntable before they introduced it to the world, I love them but I wasted my money buying them, because now their only papaer weights in my studio, & yes I've sent them back for repairs on several occasions.. It has a lot of cd drive problems with it also...

I purchased a set CDX's about 1 and a half years ago and a set of HDX's last year. I have had to send the CDX's off 3 times so far for defective motors, the stutter start buttons shorting out. I have always had a problem contacting Numark about repairing these turntables. The last time I had to get the BBB involved to get theme repaired the last time. As for the HDX's I have had no problems yet but I do recommend that you get a warranty. But the CDX's were purcashed from another company and the HDX's were purcashed throught PSSL they have a great warranty but hope I don't have any problems out of the HDX's though.

Comments about Numark CDX Table Top CD Player:

I bought a pair of Numark CDX's just last year, and within the few few months of use, the CD drive stopped working correctly. I can still insert and eject the CD, but when I take it out, the drive continues to run. Other than this minor imperfection, I love the CDX. It has a great variety of effects and other functions. The best thing about it is the vinyl emulation, allowing you to scratch digital samples like you would with a real vinyl. I would strongly recommend this product to any digital dj, or to anyone who does not want to mess around with needles.
