After 20 years of lugging around a van chock-full of DJ equipment to and from parties, I can now show up to a gig with a laptop, 2 JBL powered speakers and some wires. Matter of fact, I traded in the Chevy Surburban for a Nissan Cube! Serato & Traktor are a waste of money and you need an Apple/Mac to run them properly. If you compare the features of Serato/Traktor side-by-side to Cue, it will beat them both every time. And by the way, Numark Cue WILL WORK with a Serato interface box.

Believe me when I say this this seriously is the best DJ mixing software out right now. If your a DJ or KJ you absolutely need this!! You can't get a more perfect DJ software with all of the great audio/ video effects plus the built in samler you can download straight from virtualdj for free!!! Its overall the best and at a very great price for it, I've messed around with just about ever dj software out and theres no compairison! You have absolutely no limitations mixing with this dj software, it'll go as far as your imagination takes you. If your a dj now you know that video is becoming a standerd and if you get this youll be ahead of the game. Oh and another great thing about this software is that you can also order a sticker set that you can put on your keybourd that tell you all the buttons you put on and make it easier to mix. As you can see in the picture I have it already on my computer and it looks great and 1/3 the cost of the serato keybourd set.

Had no problem running on XP Pro & Home Edition.
I had use it on a slower laptop an did great on music not the vido, it's a everex notebook with 1.3ghz, 512mb ram, 40gb hdd.
Later i got gateway with a 2.16ghz, 2.0gb ram, 80gb hdd, 2-sound card, nvidia GeForce go 7900 GS graphic card and no problem running the music or video.

I have tried all the DJ softwares out there but nothing can compared to Virtual DJ / Numark Cue. It's a very advanced software that has features that other softwares don't have. In my opinion people who complain about this software are the ones who don't know whet they are doing or have some cheap slow computer running it. You cannot expect the video to work unless you have a minimum 256 DDR3 video card! I run this software flawlessly on my laptop a gateway P-7805u. Bought this because the guy at the G.C. recommended this program. It looks cool and works great! I can do some scraching and make cool DJ mixes. Only thing that kinda sucks, but no big deal is you can't import playlists from Windows Media player or use it with Itunes. Maybe now I'll start booking some parties. HA!

I've evaulated several DJ software programs recently and I have decided on Numark Cue. It is easy to use and with automix, you get perfect playlist mixes every time! This is great for when I need to kill time for cocktail/dinner hour and even for a group of dance songs. Beat sampling and special effects are simple yet effective and sound great! has plenty of neat features, some that I will probably never use. I like how you can change skins form basic to more complex depending on what you need. I've been a DJ for almost 20 years and have used everything from casettes, turntables, DAT, laser discs CD's, etc... I've lugged around tons of equipment to do parties not to mention cases of music. Never did I think I could do gigs with only a laptop, poles, powered speakers and a wire bag. Despite what many people say about this software, I have no issues. It never froze up and runs smoothly all the time. My laptop is a 2008 Dell Vostro running Windows XP, 2.33 Ghz processor, 2.8 MB RAM, 250 GB hard drive.

First, let me say that I have 20 years as a mobile/club DJ. I have DJ'd with everything from cassettes, vinyl, CD's MP-3 discs & never thought in my wildest dreams I'd be using a laptop. Numark Cue is packed with features, easy to use and autoplay gives you seamlessly perfect, non-stop mixes. For most mobile gigs, all I need to bring now is my laptop, 2 powered speakers, poles and my wire duffel bag. For nightclubs, all I need is my laptop and simply patch into the house sound system. This save me both time and money. My PC (used only for DJ-ing) is a Dell Vostro with an Intel Core 2.33 GHz processor, 250Gb hard drive & 2mb RAM. I run Windows XP and have NO problems. And just to be on the safe side, I plug everything into an APC Surge Protector w/battery backup.

the full audio skin on my laptop works flawlessly. i have full control by hooking up my dac-3 and downloading a midi mapper from vdj.com. the video skin needs a power house comp and wont work with my laptop, but that was expected so i have a tower pc for video mixing. best product i ever bought. makes my job so much easier.

I use PCDJ in my shows no problem.on the same machine i just loaded CUE,Unstable, slow responding,Video ='s freeze crash on 2nd vid load. Oh well, maybe it's me, I'm not perfect that's why i"ve been a DJ for 29yrs! So may be it time for me to get some support? Forget it! E'ed Numark 2 times no service contact. E'ed Virtual DJ twice they received it said they get back to me- nothing - nadda - nill. I have two iCDXs and a Dxm01usb mixer, all of which I use with Cue. All I can say is.....WOW! I have been mixing since the eighties and this is the coolest thing I have ever seen. It is just like using traditional turntables. Except I do not need to carry tons of vinyl, or CCDs. I can edit on the fly, long smooth blends, even scratrch a little. I DJd a fashion show yesterday south of Chicago and all the people working the show mentioned to me how good it was. I owe it all to Numark. Do not look any farther than Cue. [...]

As a senior ProSound Product Specialist and DJ/Producer, I am very impressed and amazed at how sophisticated and stable this piece of software is. I have tried and used numerous DJ software since 2001, this is by far the best.
