Total Controls 31 buttons, 20 knobs and 5 faders send MIDI data from the controller to your DJ software of choice, making the inconvenience of mouse or glide-pad software control a thing of the past. No assignment of software parameters for the Total Control is necessary - simply connect the controller to a computer with a USB cable, enable it on the users computers "config" menu, and watch the virtual controls respond to Total Controls actions.
The Total Control comes packaged with Native Instruments TRAKTOR LE recording software, with pre-mapped controls and overlay "skins" for both applications.

Scratching is no good on this, but you can definitely make some good mixes on here. Some sound distortion while recording but not too much an issue when playing loud & live. Definitely usable for small dj gigs.

I am very pleased with this controller itself but i have a bone to pick with Pro Sound for not updating their site and or letting me know it no longer comes with Cue LE or the Skin for Cue as listed on their site. I was very upset because i am not a big fan at all of Traktor and looked forward to having the Cue LE instead, Overall i recommend this product to anyone who's into basic mixing.

I have had this controller for about 9mo & it has been great. It does everything I need it to do & more. The only thing I didn't like is the scratching is not good. If you are looking for a controller to record, remix & dj with, this is the one for you.

I bought the Numark Total Control 3 months ago and haven't looked back. It is great for traveling and aside from the Numark DJ iO (sound card), all you really need is DJ Software (works best with Numarks Cue, Traktor, and Virtual DJ. You basically have a midi controller with every function you need to create a mix or play at a gig from 200 to 2000 people. You have the mid, bass, gain, treble, master, ph mix, and ph volume knobs to mess with as well as effect knobs, loops, crossfaders, etc. The other good thing about the Total Control is that you can control everything without touching your computer/lap top. You have great sound with this midi controller. It comes with a usb 2.0 cable so it's easy to set up. I use it when I go out and play as well as for mixing. I would highly suggest this midi controller for DJ's just starting out, if you don't want to spend tons of money on turntables and a mixer, or want something compact that you can fit in a book bag or briefcase.

I must hand it to Numark. This is a very good controller for the price. It is a little plasticky but the knobs, buttons, and faders are solid with a good feel. The encoder wheels (jogs)rock! Smooth through and through. I use NI Traxtor (upgraded to the full version, highly advised you do the same if that is what you're using it with) and the performance is spot on. Just take some time to set up the MIDI and you'll be good to go. I returned a Behringer BCD 3000 for this and have no regrets.

This is a good controller for the price. Average quality, but good for the price. Tempo/pitch control does not center well, and you have to wiggle it to get it to work the first time. I find myself not using the tempo/pitch sliders at all. I wish there was an assignable button for a common loop length, like 8-16 beats, then you could adjust from there. Overall, pretty good control, and very usable, and I do recommend. Just make sure you read up on this product, so you know the limitations as well as the good stuff, and you will be happy.

I have had my Total Control for a few weeks now and I love it!! I have used it to broadcast three internet radio station mixing sessions and quite a few sets playing around in my home studio. It is well laid out, very intuative design. I use it in connection with Numark's Cue software. Dont think about it, go order one now!
