My speaker cables were wearing out so I decided to purchase these XLR's. I have a pair of KRK Rokit 6's monitors and a Pioneer DJM-700 mixer. The connection fit perfectly and the sound quality is highly improved using XLR's instead of the normal RCA connection. I'm very sattisfied and at a price so low who wouldn't buy it!!

The cable has a funny bulge on the connectors. It doesn't look like the connector in the picture. As far as I can tell it doesn't affect performance, but I would have liked to know what I bought looked different than I thought. Cheap cable. Great for live use especially if you know your cables won't be respected. Low enough price to replace cable if destroyed.

This runs from my VMS4 to a pair of M-Audio GSR 12 speakers. They have reliable and solid connections. they Click into place and hold firm on both ends so you'll never worry about them accidentally coming out. Build quality is great, the sound quality is good. The only reason you should be buying this product is if you have no reason to be plugging and unplugging fixtures. Bought about 25 of these to use. Knowing the price I knew they weren't going to be great but expected a heck of a lot better than what they are. Within the first 3 weeks of using I've broken about 5, and yes I take excellent care of my equipment. The ends just don't seem to have any joint durability....AT ALL. I'm a fan of PSSL, but if you're going to buy these for use in a mobile rig I'd highly suggest buying quality product. I haven't had problems with any of the other XLR components I've been using for years!
I thought about giving them 2 stars, just because if you'll use them for non mobile stage lighting or a rack mount where you won't be unplugging them all the time they'll probably be ok for you.....But Most people are mobile so i changed my mind.

Well if I were hooking up amplifiers to unpowered speakers these wires would fail miserably. I know what I'm doing because all I want to get to the speakers are sound signal not power for that these guys are more than enough to do the job. Theuy say economy but they are ten times the quality of rca or phono red white wires sheilding is not nessacary with DJ equipement because the sound is wattage based. If we were doing audiophile hookup I would then be amperage based and then I would need a better quality wire. The better wire makes no difference in Wattage based systems that is noticable. Save your money on wires for DJ equipement no improvement to be had at all for better quality unless using in an Amperage based set up witch as Scotty from Star Trek would say crosses over like a christmas tree. I would only do that idf you never move your system and the DJ is very tight with his or her mixes because distortion will blow it all up. So I got great quality wires and great value too rare indeed. PSSL will do that for you because they are a qulity company I have delt with them I beleive since 1989 so I know them well. If you are wondering about quality of a product you really only need to ask them because a lot of the people who work there also DJ or play in a band and really know their stuff.
