The Peavey DPC1400X Power Amp is a remarkable single-rack-space digital power amplifier that uses Peavey's patented digital power conversion technology. This revolutionary design delivers crystal clear highs and a thumping low-end response. Weighing in at less than 15 pounds, this awesome little amp puts out 1400 watts into 4 ohms bridged or 700 watts into 2 ohms! The power into 4 and 8 ohms is equally impressive, with 2 x 500 watts into 4 ohms and 2 x 375 watts into 8 ohms. The DPC1400X also features front panel level controls, LED level and status indicators and thru jacks to the rear panel for simple daisy-chaining. Peavey's patented DDT speaker protection circuit virtually eliminates power amp distortion.

I own 3 of these and they are by far the best amp I have ever owned and I have tried over 50 different amps from 20 manufacturers over the last 32 years. Extremely small, lightweight, and easy to use but have the power and versatility do do almost anyjob and are extremely reliable. The little extra cost pays for itself in the effort it will save you lugging around bigger, heavier amps.

I've had mine for 10 years already and have done over 500 parties with it from weddings to school dances and everything in between. It is as reliable as the sun. It has plenty of power and sounds great, but what I like best is that it is lightweight (15 lbs.) and only takes up 1 space in my rack unit. I wish it had Speakon instead of banana outputs, but I normally use the 1/4 inch speaker outputs. I highly recommend it.
