Peavey 15INLOWRIDER 15 Inch Lowrider Subwoofer

The new Low Rider driver series represents a milestone in high-powered sub-woofer design. An incredible 1,600 Watt program rating and extra-long cone excursion provide maximum amounts of amazingly clean, deep bass. The Low Rider is a superior choice for the bottom end of any high-powered soundsystem, from DJ rigs to the largest professional touring shows.

The Low Rider utilizes a variation on the existing Kevlar-impregnated cones used on all Black Widow speakers. The new cone is stronger and tougher and uses an innovative asymmetrical-M surround for superior excursion and motion control.

The compact enclosure designs are ideal for instrument amplification and high portability applications such as DJ and small touring bands. They provide solid bass performance in extraordinarily small enclosures. Band pass enclosures also fit into this range as stand-alone subwoofers.

Due to the Low Rider's high output capabilities, excessive levels may cause structural damage to buildings or inducepermanent hearing loss, nausea, vertigo or intestinal disturbances in listeners. Please be cautious when setting maximum sound pressure levels.

Will this fit in a Mackie hd1501
Curt on Jun 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the Peavey 15 in Low Rider Raw Frame Subwoofer will fit inside the Mackie HD1501 15 in Powered Subwoofer.
Can I use this sub as a replacement sub in my Yamaha SW115V's Subwoofer. The power rating of this speaker is MUCH higher than that the standard speaker the accompanies the enclosure which program rating is 500 watts.

And if not, what enclosures, say, generic would work with this speaker?

Finally, how do the 18 inch version of this speaker compare in terms of sound production as they have the same power rating. Would the 18 inch produce the base to a larger area? and or better produce the lowest frequencies? I'm a mobile dj, so portability is big, as my back thanks me! ;)

BEST ANSWER: No, You need the Prorider as your best option. You can always get an ideal replacement. An 18" subwoofer covers more ground and goes lower on bass frequency. Call us for more information.
is that for two speaker
Jerry on Sep 20, 2010
BEST ANSWER: It is for each.
can these subs be used as replacements in satalite speakers
campaddict3 on Feb 11, 2010
BEST ANSWER: For a satalite speaker you may need to look for a woofer not a subwoofer. This particular Subwoofer will not give you the sound you need out of your speakers if used.
