Peavey PR-12: Turn It Up With A 12-Inch SpeakerThe PR 12 is a two-way sound reinforcement system consisting of a heavy duty 12" woofer and a RX14 titanium diaphragm, dynamic compression driver mounted on a 90° x 40° coverage constant directivity horn. The lightweight-yet-rugged injection-molded plastic enclosure with molded-in stand-mount cup facilitates portable use for live music or speech sound. A black powder-coated steel grille provides driver protection and a professional appearance. The PR 12 speaker system is rated at 400 watts program power handling, and the full crossover network includes high voltage film capacitors and high frequency driver protection for clear, punchy sound and excellent long-term reliability. Two 1/4" phone jack input connectors make daisy-chaining to other speakers simple.

great for solo artist or a beginner dj for use in small rooms. they can pack a punch but only if you crank the lows all the way up for bass on your mixer. Peavey make great speakers which is why i considered them. This is the low end beginner stuff.

A:
No, because those speakers run 400w at 8 Ohms, you'll want an amp with at least 200w of headroom, meaning it runs 600w or more per channel at 8 Ohms. The most cost effective amp that I see which will give you ample power is Item # 77754, which is the QSC GX7.Answered on 6/12/2013 by Kris
