These speakers really perform well by themselves in a small to medium venue. For larger venues I have used a Peavey subwoofer and the performance is more than adequate. Peavey has really impressed me once again.

I have 4 of these and DJ all over Ohio and into Indiana & Kentucky. These are so light and durable and have GREAT sound. I usually run two off each channel of my amp (3500 watt) and have yet to ever overload them or clip. If anyone tells you they are weak, call me. I have had them for 2 years and now the only ones I need to use!

if you buy these, invest in a compressor/limiter so you dont drive them too hard and blow the woofers. woofer replacement on these is a pain...
i used them to dj and run a 2 piece accoustic. they are just not powerful enough for anything more than very small parties.

the plastic box is great cause its light...bad cause some time the port hole on the box vibrates agenst the box it self whitch is easy to fix ....and also my horn driver unscred it self on more than 1 occation ..... other than that i love these speakers ......

Been upgrading my Mobile stuff...I am a 60 year old Mobile DJ and my old speakers were getting a tad to heavy for me to lift on tripods...bought a new Numark mixer on a Monday a new Crown 200 watt amp on Tuesday, and the Peavey's on Wendsday, took them to my regular Thursday night gig box and all, opended the speaker cartons "easily" put the Peavey's on the tripod, plugged in the 1/4 plug, cranked up the Crown amp and ROCKED the house...for the price you can't beat it...[...]
