Pros: Attractive Design,Easy To Set Up,Great Sound Quality

I have owned these speakers for less than a year. I Own an entertainment company and have used these speakers about 100 times. They are great for a lightweight system and help add a little bass. They are no "cerwin-vega's" but some bass is better than no bass. I bought these speakers because of the compact size and the lightweight. They also sound great for what they are. However there is a serious problem in the engeneering of this product. The crossover "filter" breaks constantly weather you hit them with less or more or even the exact amout of power that they recomend. This causes the speaker to stop producing sound. Peavey has replaced the broken part 15 times in the past 8 months. But they need to just make it stronger so it doesnt break. The plastic cabnit vibrates A-lot and the wire on the crossover "filter" is thin. All the vibration causes the thin wire to break. Once Peavey fixes this problem this will be a great speaker.

Pros: Easy Setup
Cons: Poor Sound Quality,Weak Bass,Lack Of Power

i bought these subs about 3 months ago for a light weight system. used the new peavey 1600 irp amp that hits these speakers at 320 watts a peice 640 peak a peice. So im not over powering them or underpowering them. i used them at about four jobs and they worked ok. Nothing like a nice cerwin vega sub but for plastic it was ok. it took a few hours to break them in and get some bass out of them. Anyways my fourth gig using these speakers they both blew up. Peavey did fix them for free under their warrenty. i used them at about 4 more gigs and one blew up again. Than on the 5th gig the other one blew. These speakers have been a nightmare from the beginning. Oh i forgot when i took them out of the box one sub was missing screws to hold the grill in. Peaveys PR series is the worst speaker i have ever used in my life.
