The model 22XT Compression Driver represents another advancement in the state of sound reinforcement art. Utilizing the laste technological advances in adhesive and metallurgical science, the 22XT relies on an ultra-durable, aircraft-grade titanium diamphragm to produce crystalline highs and transparent, highly intelligible vocals.
Each driver is subjected to a complete series of computer-based tests designed to ensure total adherence to specifications. The 22XT is a full 2-inch rigid diaphragm that, unlike some of the smaller-diaphragm titanium compression drivers, combines the low distortion and very high power handling expected in a large-diameter driver. The 500-Hz low-frequency cutoff takes the 22XT from the low vocal range to the limits of audibility. The 22XT is considered to be a "product upgrade" of the original 22T and 22A Compression Drivers and is utilized in many Peavey sound reinforcement/public address and specialty application enclosures.

This is a much better diaphram that came in my Peavey SP2's that are about 14 years old. This new version of 22X (22XT) diapram produces smoother more precise highs. Fantastic product!
