Since the CDJ200 is MP3 compatible aspiring DJs can now include the very latest downloaded tracks in their sets without having to convert the audio from other formats. The MP3 functionality also allows DJs to locate tracks more quickly via folder search and to see the name of the disc artist and song on the units bright dotmatrix display window. This screen also has a bar graph showing the elapsed and remaining playing time of a track plus an Auto BPM Counter giving DJs the realtime information they need to create better mixes more quickly. The unit has a tempo readout as well as a separate Master Tempo button with three settings for locking the pitch of a track as its sped up or slowed down.
The unit uses an electricblue light at strategic locations to give the DJ constant feedback about the status of the CD and the effects in use. The light above the CDslot for example shows that theres no disc onboard and also guides the DJ to the userfriendly quickload slot. With the disc inserted that light goes off and a blue illuminated ring appears around the edge of the jog wheel indicating that a CD is loaded and ready for playback.
An established highlight of Pioneers Pro DJ CDJ players the jog wheel can be used to speed up or slow down the music; to finetune cue points manually; or to control the mix with the help of another proven feature the digital jog break. This has three effect buttons jet zip wah for creating original sounds as the DJ manipulates the jog wheel. When the digital jog break is on the blue ring flashes quickly. Once the HOLD/RESET button is used the flashing slows down. With the effects off the continuous blue light returns.
The CDJ200 also has a unique resume function that takes effect if a CD is ejected accidentally. Once the DJ reinserts the disc it automatically starts playing from exactly the point where it stopped. The unit has a digital out socket so that all of the digital features available in DJ Mode can be carried over to a connected digital environment. The headphone jack with volume control allows the DJ to monitor a CD without connecting the CDJ200 to a mixer or external amplifier.

Comments about Pioneer CDJ 200 Table Top CD Player Mp3:
This is a great beginner starter CD player. Some of the good things that I will comment on this CD player is that the features it contains in a small basic player. Although I'm not a big user of effects, this cd player comes with 3 basic effects, and looping capabilities; but among the effects the greatest that I have enjoyed are MP3 capability, CD text, and also my favorite, the increments on pitch control. Under the lowest pitch percentage, the increments are .02% and .05% on all other settings, which are the same as it's bigger brothers. I also like the front CD slot.
Although some of the things I'm not too fond of is the screen, which is quite small. The jog wheel is very loose although this is just personal preference.
Overall it would really depend on what kind of DJ you are, if you are more along the line to just wow people with effects, than this would be a great starter. Although I have told many DJ's that if you put focus on other things to learn than basics, it will prolong and hinder your time with the fundamentals. The effects are nice and cost savings if you do not have a mixer with effects, but to learn the basics, this isn't a CD player to build off on.

Comments about Pioneer CDJ 200 Table Top CD Player Mp3:
I have used both the CDJ-100/200. The CDJ-200 is pretty much the same unit, but has a few more features if you are thinking of upgrading. The first rad feature is the ability to mix mp3's into your mix. The second is the Loop Function, and lastly it's pitch resolution. Yeah it doesn't scratch, but if scratching is that important you will have to pay a pretty penny to get accuracy and durability. This CDJ does a great job at mixing, it's jog wheel pitch bend has a nice curve to it, and the built in effects are fun to use. My only gripe is the price you pay for a name...
