Pioneer CDJ1000MK3 Table Top CD Player W/ Mp3
PIONEER CDJ1000MK3 TABLE TOP CD PLAYER W/ MP3
Club owners and DJs will appreciate the robust build of the CDJ1000MK3 with its familiar highquality polished look and clean layout. The new features make it easier to transport music as well as simplify cueing looping scratching and stretching of tracks. The CDJ MKIII series feels as close to a vinyl turntable as you can get with the great benefits of a digital player.
Features:- MP3 Support: The MP3 audio format has taken the world by storm and now the CDJ1000MK3 can play all your MP3s; CBR or VBR at any bitrate from CDR or CDRW.
- Improved Jog Dial: The CDJ1000MK3s 7inch jogdial has been improved to offer DJs another world s first the ability to quickly and easily alter the resistance of the jog wheel which benefits from a new metallic nonslip finish. The Jog Dial Display is now brighter and has been brought closer to the surface of the Jog for better viewing angles. The center display also features 45degree markers for added visual cueing assistance.
- Hot Cue sampler:Memorizes up to 3 cue points per CD. These points can then be recalled by hitting either of the A B or C buttons. This function can also be used like a mini sampler for vocals stabs or breaks adding that touch of creativity to any DJ set. The MK3 now allows loops to be stored to Hot Cues.
- Reverse:Instant reverse is controlled by using a toggle switch. With no loss of tempo or pitch it can be used immediately within any track without having to stop or start.
- Real Time Seamless Loop: A quick and simple way to set a loop while a track is playing. Once the loop is set it can then be looped continuously or until the ReLoop / Exit button is pressed. When released the track continues playing without any pause. The loop can be retrigged at any time by hitting the ReLoop button.
- Loop In / Out Adjust:Another world first from Pioneer is the ability to adjust both the In and Out points of a loop stored in memory. So now fine tuning a loop is both quick and easy. LoopIn adjust is only available on the CDJ1000MK3.
- Reloop:Hitting the newly backlit Reloop button instantly takes you back to the beginning of the loop stored in the CDJ1000MK3s memory. Clever use of Reloop can create some sample like effects. The same loop is always stored in memory until replaced with a new loop.
- Memory:The CDJ1000MK3 has a memory feature that lets you store Wave Data as well as Cue and Loop points. The data can be stored on a removable memory card MMC or SD or the players internal memory. The removable memory card can also be used in any CDJ1000 so once youve stored your favorite cue and loop points theyre stored for life. The CDJ1000MK3 also has a feature that allows you to duplicate memory cards. The display of the MK3 has been improved to give more accurate display of memory points within the track.
- Wave Display: Another improvement for the MK3 is an improved Wave Display offering a better resolution and continuous display. Wave data is stored to the memory card for instant recall when a track is called up.
- Track Display:CDText and ID3 data is displayed within the main display area for rapid track identification. An indicator also shows the total number of tracks available for playback.
- CD Control / CD Control Buttons:
- High Quality Aluminium buttons Track Search Search Cue and Play / Pause.
- Jog Mode:The CDJ1000MK3 can be set in either Vinyl or CDJ mode. In CDJ mode the jog dial functions just like a Pioneer CDJ player but without the touch sensitivity.
- Scratch Play / Cue: When the CDJ1000MK3 is in vinyl mode the top of the jog dial functions just like a Vinyl Turntable. Pressing down stops the music and allows you to scratch or cue your track by rotating the jog dial in either direction.
- Vinyl Speed Adjust Touch/Brake and Release/Start
- Separate control knobs allow for quick adjustment of start and stop timing.
- Tempo / Master Tempo: Pioneers Master Tempo locks the pitch of the track even when you change the speed. You can speed up or slow down the beat without any noticeable difference in how the vocal and instruments sound.
- Tempo Control:A 100mm linear high precision slider gives DJs total control and ensures that the tempo adjustment is easy and accurate.
- Tempo Control Range:Ranges of / 6 /10 /16 and /100 70/100 for MP3 can be assigned to the Tempo Control slider.
- Tempo Control Reset:Resets the tempo to 0 or original tempo of the track regardless of the slider position.
- Eject Button CD Lock:The CDJ1000 has a guard to prevent you from accidentally pressing it the eject button. The CD is locked until the track is stopped. This can be deactivated as well if you are looking to do quick mixes. The player also features a new Quick Return function; in the event you accidentally eject a playing CD reinserting the CD will resume playback from the point the music stopped.
- MultiRead Format:The CDJ1000MK3 can read CD CDR and CDRW disks for CDAudio and MP3 data formats.
- Front Loading:Loading CDs without having to open doors or trays makes swapping discs and selecting tracks that much faster. It also helps to keep dirt and any nasty substances out of the CDs working parts.
- Cue Functions / Auto Cue: This is the fastest way to find the beginning of a track. The sound level can also be changed to suit your style of music 36db to 78db. There is also an option to turn it off if you prefer to cue up your CD tracks manually.
- Real Time Cue: A cue point can be set on the fly and stored into the internal memory by just simply hitting the In / Realtime cue button.
- Cue Marker Display: The current cue point is indicated within the jogdials center display to show where the cuepoint is relative to the current play position.
- Legato Link Conversion For High Quality Sound: Equipped with Pioneers wide range technology Legato Link Conversion. The CDJ1000MK3 is capable of reproducing sound frequencies above 20kHz which are lost during normal CDformat playback. Not only does this give great sound reproduction but sounds closer to the original recording and more analog like vinyl.
- ShockProof Memory and AntiVibration Construction:Sound jumps or skipping is prevented by using shockproof memory for continuous playback even in the event of a bump or knock.
- AntiVibration:Oildampened floating suspension prevents sound skipping even when the player is subjected to impact during use or vibrations generated from high volume music and low frequency bass.
- Digital Output:The CDJ1000MK3 is equipped with fullfeature digital output. This means you can keep your scratching and master tempo playback entirely in the digital domain. Users who simply want to use the digital output for archival purposes may do so via the digital mode switch on the rear of the unit. All connectors on the rear of the unit are now goldplated for higher connection quality and longevity.

I have been using Pioneer CDJs since the 100 came out, and when the 800 came out I finally made the switch from vinyl, so thank you Pioneer. I have also used American DJ back when I was starting in 1998 and used Denon3500s quite a bit when I have thrown BIG shows and had to have 6 or 8 CDJs, and the Pioneer 1000s/800s are just superb. Just keep those drinks away from them and getting cases is ALWAYS a good idea. Fixing them is not cheap.

This deck is invincible; it will always work, no matter how hard it's used or abused. That's why its showing up in clubs everywhere. BUT, in terms of useability, its got some flaws for live use. I use hot starts a lot, and find it cumbersome to have to switch to record mode to update the start points, then back to play mode to preview them. This needs to be quicker. Other functions are similarly buried in modes too; Vinyl and CDJ mode both have important uses, but on this deck I need to double check which mode I'm in to see what effect the platter will have. Everything works, and it works well (which is more than I can say about a lot of other CD decks) but it's not intuitive.

Hey all,
I have been mixing in clubs since '95 and if you need to invest in the best then look no further. I use these puppies at house parties, where normally the players would start to skip- not these. I also use these at underground parties where all the DJs have to be happy- exactly, only these..

Comments about PIONEER CDJ1000MK3 TABLE TOP CD PLAYER W/ MP3:
Where to start. Denon DN-S3500, it blows, especially when playing cds burned at different bit rates. The Technics looks sexy, but its too technical, less is more with the CDJ, and then some. The Axis 9 by Numark is a great example of compact, solid, and a well layed out Cd player, but can't take the heat in a professional atmosphere. The CDJ 800 is nothing to laugh at. It's the younger brother to the CDJ 1000 with excellent tracking and reads EVERYTHING! With that being said, this unit kills. It's sad to see the garbage being stamped out trying to keep up. There is a reason why they're company is called "Pioneer". They started it, and they will kill it. I can't praise this product more. My fingers are starting to hurt.
Set up, 2x CDJ 1000MKIII's, DJM 909, 2x SL1210mk2's.

I first got the new technics dz1200 and it was garbage, then I got a cdj800, it was better then the technics digital deck, I still was not happy.
then I sold them both and got the cdj1000 mk3..
a dream come true...if you have been mixing records for years and you need to make the switch to cd players (you need to cause most clubs have the cdj 1000's)..you will need to get the cdj 1000 mk3...it simply kicks butt, it is pretty easy to use and is easy to get adjusted on..this gem saves you a ton of time on quing, and beat matching..put those old 1200's away, and invest your cash on the 1000 mk3..trust me you will freak out when you make the switch, you will be killing it after a few hours..and will never go back to records unless you wanna play the old stuff...I have been djing for 17 years in clubs, mixing house music, and these cdj 1000's are what you will see in every club in the future
go buy them, they are great and you will love them and wish you had bought them years ago

unfortuneatle this cd deck is just more of the same , its a good cd player , but def not the best , it really is not a improvement quality wise over the last 2 generations, it just looks nicer, if you really want a pionner cd player, get the silver 800, its cheaper and pretty much is the same thing

This product surpassed every expectation I ever had from any other product on the market today. I've been a disc jockey for over twenty years, and the vinyl feel is great. What I like is the fact that I can jam pack a bunch of tracks on one mp3 for emergency back up, and the ability to use Serato, discs on it.

A:
The quality of teh player in general. The components, what formats it can play, and also the ins and outs of the unit. The feel on each is completely different on each player as well. Some also have a built in software that will makes it easier to DJ.Answered on 7/14/2010 by ZACH B. EXT 8207 from cypress, ca
