Built on the third generation of QSC PowerLight? technology, the PLX1804 combines light weight, superlative audio quality and proven QSC reliability. With strong power ratings, it is capable of providing plenty of clean, undistorted output to the most power hungry speaker systems.
The PLX1804 brings the same performance and technology, plus an even greater value, to applications that don't require bridged or 2 ohm operation. Designed to power one or two speakers from each amplifier channel (4 ohm minimum loading), it offers a simplified feature set while retaining genuine, uncompromised PLX performance and technology. Weighing just 13 pounds, these "plug-and-play" amplifiers are perfect for ultra-portable rigs, as well as reference-quality playback.

This Amp is a great addition to my DJ System. I like the 13 lbs. weight that doesn't strain you. Using the amp with 4 speakers at 4 ohms also gives a great sound. I shared the amp with another DJ, with his equipment, at the same time and the power was there. The controls have detents and that helps with your previous settings. It's great not to worry too much on overloading the amp since there are no fuses, just the safty mode the system goes into for a few minutes and it's ready to go again.
I can't think of anything that is negative about this equipment except maybe I could have bought the 1 step higher system for the ability to play at the 2 ohms level.

I use these to pump my power hungry dual yamahas for mobild djing applications. This amp is so light, its unreal! but yet it can put 900 watts per channel on my yamahas! However, this amp is only a plug and go amp. No other features really, like 2 ohm loading, bridge mono, and different outputs for speaker connections. But who cares really, this amp is all about feeding your speakers with good clean and clear power which it definitly delivers!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This amp is great to power your top cabs alone at 8 ohms, or two tops and two subs @ 4 ohms , either way it is the best deal going, for the money ! a built in crossover would be nice . but i guess you can't have it all. and its only 13lbs. ( be careful though in 4 ohm mode if your speakers cant handle the power, they will get fried! trust me, i know !!)

This amp definately exceeded my expectations! This isn't my first one and won't be my last. I have been using these since the PLX2 series came out, and they outperform any amp I have ever used. If quality, durability, and price are important to you, these are the amps for you!!!
