I brought this product over a year ago. I must say I only had two interuption with this product and due to my error. Needles not being cleaned and Ground Wire not properly placed. I dj and three Clubs weekly and this product never fails me. It doesn't get any better than this... No More Vinyl..Go Serato.. PS: I have also used the club's Final Scratch and that's got to be the worse program No Thought was put into that..

When I first called asking for a computer program to record my mixes with, I was told Rane Serato was the program to use. After using it for a while, i realized that this was not the case AT ALL. You can record from 1 turntable at a time, but not crossfade to the next turntable. I know that this program is good for DJ's who dont want to lug their vinyl around anymore, but this product was sold to me for uses I did not intend. I wish that [...] staff would sell their customers products they ask for instead of pushing a certain product that does not meet the needs that have been specified.

Serato is a great product if your an experienced dj, yes it will occasionally freeze if u are not runnin the right specs for it, but over all great. No more cds or vinyl to carry around. Add ons is a plus such as the video SL, no need to worry if u are runnin a higher end product such as TTM 57 or newer products there always upgrading software, to get over all feel for the SL1 they offer midi and dj controllers like denon HC 1000 which is made for serato but great product for me!!

MY BOTTOM LINE: takes money to make money so invest in a product you know your gonna love and wanna exceed and grow with! Rane products are very fine indeed!

This is great for all applications. Add a night club feel to any event....Even if your just playing oldies....Can be used for all applications and has features to make what ever you are doing simple and profesional. Nothing else on the market comes close. I use it for a wide variaty of gigs, from bar/club, to rail jam events, weddings, music production and i'm still finding new uses for it, This has taken me to a whole new level!!!

Use this whenever I have a Gig. Easy to set up, all in one, no more carrying crates, and lastly SSL is really worth it at the end. It took me a while to get used to it, But now "its a piece of cake".

Hands down a real DJ tool. I have tried several of the competitions products and they don't come close. In fact they all offer a Serato look a like skin. The majority of my work is for the private sector and a backup DJ for some clubs. Since this is the industry standard I invested in this product, best money I have ever spent. This is a tool for DJ's who keep the craft going and are true to the art. If you like to cheat and use a "SYNC" button this is not for you.

a definate advantage for any pre-vinal dj with a large music selection,takes the stress of finding that one song in time to mix when you have 500+ albums.the wave image feature helps a agreat deal on beat matching when your right next to a 1000 watt sub reverbing..not very many extra features,torq has more and is cheaper,im also more partial to thier layout,but serato i have been told is more stable..still not sure if thats true or not. this is pretty much the standard with most of the djs in my city.

I Have had Traktor Scratch PRO for about 2yrs now but Since I started Messing around with Serato Im thinking bout selling Traktor. Controls are easy, Sound is on point, Great Features, It really is the standard! SL1 Sound Card is Not as Nice as the Audio8DJ but looks dont matter here. Go With Serato!

serato work best w windows xp,or mac memory card dedicated,sometimes the program frezz & dont respond,dont have sync,i return my,i use numark cue y numark vinyl,with this program you can mix videos,wiht serato you have pay a $200 more if you want the program for mix video,i use numark for 9 hours & perfect,i use a sony vaio 4 gb ram windows vista,with serato vista dont work only xp.

I have this interface with my Numark CDX, and have my entire music collection on my laptop. No more lugging CD's and Vinyl, whole collection is at my finger tips. Only gripe, and this is a small one, the CDX effects will not work with the Serato Scratch. But that is just a small price to pay to have all your music at your finger tips.

Man, let me tell you....this is the best product possibly in the history of dj'ing. if every club had a Serato setup, all us dj's have to do is bring our external hard drive and our headphones (and needles when necessary). No more lugging crates or books of cd's full of nothing but that one good song on it. Whatever format you choose be it vinyl or cd's, this product will make you love to spin again! I'm 36 years old and it makes me feel like i was 13 again haha

  The first difference between the boxes is the audio output quality. The SL1 has A 16bit/44.1hz frequency response and the SL2 and SL3 have a higher 24bit/48hz frequency response. This means the digital audio out on the SL2 and SL3 is stronger. One other major difference between the SL1/SL2 and the SL3 is that the SL3 has a third input option which can be used as an auxilary line or to record your set, which you can't do with the SL1 and SL2.

  Yes the denon 2600 will work with serato. All you need to do is play the serato's time coded cds that come with serato. You can also use the traktor X1 to control any midi functions that you desire.
