Rane TTM57mkII 2-Deck Serato DJ Scratch Mixer

The TTM57SL trailblazed back in 2006 as the first DJ mixer ever made with a built-in USB sound card and tightly integrated Serato software controls. By the time it was discontinued in 2013, the innovative mixer had developed a cult-like, devoted following.

The TTM57mkII improves upon the already superb performance and software integration of the original while maintaining the familiar workflow Rane-users know and love. Perhaps the most notable upgrade is the set of silicone RGB backlit pads for triggering 4 cue points per deck or the SP-6 sampler, and the back-lit buttons fo dedicated auto-loop and loop roll controls. Classic joystick controls toggle slip, instant doubles, internal mode, censor, and transform. Serato DJ iZotope FX controls have been made available for easy and quick access.

The mixer features dual USB port architecture for painless DJ change over and supports creative dual computer applications. The TTM57mkII is a phoenix risen from the ashes.

Where is the Aux USB located on the Rane 57mkii?
Elo W on Nov 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi, this is a great question! Thanks for asking it! The TTM57mkII has an independent control on the left-hand side of the mixer designated for "Aux" with a USB symbol, this actually doesn't correspond to a hardware input - instead, it corresponds to a dedicated Stereo channel that is "Plug-and-Play" for the SP-6 sampler within Serato. This gives you super simple, in-line control of SP-6. The hardware ports for USB are located on the rear of the unit and designated as "A" and "B". Hope that helps!

i have no complaints
Pros: Comfortable,Excellent Sound,Easy To Use,Accurate Controls,Compact

i couldn't decide between this mixer or the 62, mostly because i was hesitant about transitioning from scratch live to serato dj permanently. but i loved the comfort of the 57 which got so used to, so i took a leap of faith..
i must say, im happy with the choice. sounds great, plus all the comfort of the original 57. with a few upgrades to make your life easy

Rane TTM57mkII Review
Nice mixer, but lack of lighting in and around knobs and some buttons make it somewhat easy to enable/disable the wrong setting. There's a lot of wasted space on this mixer that easily could have been used to space things out instead of cramming everything together in the center of the mixer. The Cue/Sampler buttons are nice and very accurate for on the fly remixing. The Kill, Effect, and Loop Roll buttons are probably the crappiest and cheapest looking things on this mixer. Another con is that you can only activate one effect at a time per channel. The joystick is on point along with the assigned functions. Overall, I would say either spend the extra money and get the Rane 62 or save some money and get the Pioneer DJM-S9. For the price this mixer should have been built with high end buttons and features. I hope this review helps the next person with making a good decision on their investment.
