Q:
is this an item that can help cool down the tubes on a 65 twin fender amp -what noise ratio would be involved and IF installed=should the fans pull or blow toward tubes?1 answer
A:
If you're speaking about the Fender amp I'm thinking of, most likely this Rack Fan would not be the product unless you have a 19 inch rack kit on the back of the amp. Tubes can add great harmonic coloration to the way your instrument sounds, I would recommend using the fans to draw heat away from the tubes instead of sending air to them. The reason is because you want your tubes to run hot to add that coloration that defines their sound. Sending air towards the tubes would cool them off adding less coloration and may run the risk of adding bad elements from the air to the electronics. A ventilation system is a good thing to invest into because even though you want your tubes to run hot you don't want to over heat the tubes.Q:
can you hook this unit up to a temperture controll unit?1 answer

A:
If you have a temperature controlled unit, you probably will not need this. This is designed to plug into a ac outlet.
