The SKB-106DJ Station is the newest addition to their entry level DJ gear. The SKB-106DJ Station fulfills the requests of working DJ's with 10 rackable spaces on top and 6 rackable spaces underneath. The DJ Station has roto-molded side handles and a newly designed protective dust cover allowing for the use of gear with extended control knobs. The 106DJ keeps everything covered and keeps the unit lightweight.

This DJ Station was purchased as a replacement & bought to use those times when the *big* rack was just too much.
It's great; I only wish it had a more sturdy cover for the components.
I loaded it with a 2 drawer CD unit, a 500 W amp, a 10 space mixer & a "light" unit....
PERFECT !!!!

Really good rack system and very light and durable. The only setback is the soft cover that it comes with. Does not secure well unless you rig up something to secure it to the rack itself.

5+ years and VERY pleased. I was looking it over at my last event and thought - WOW this thing still looks good, has held up and been a life saver on my back. Per the earlier review, the soft cover (sometimes) comes un-snapped when moving (the top 2 remain snapped and cover hangs over and protects gear). If you're rough handling your gear and/or have no control on WHO handles it, you may consider a hard case, but if you are your own "rodie" I would highly consider. Plenty of room for mixers, effects, amps, cd/media players..etc.. AND the biggest plus....very light and easy to handle.
If you're looking to lighten your load, clean up your stage presentation and have a durable case to protect your gear than this may be for you

I use this case to hold my CD players, Mixer, light controls and power conditioner. It makes handling the controls and making the connections so much easier. I still have room to put a drawer and a light bar if and when I get to it. When my clients see my equipment all squared away and that I have a clean set up with no wires exposed, they tell me its the cleanest they have ever seen and that it looks more professional than other djs they have seen, makes my day.

I've had this case for over 6 years and it does make transporting my equipment easier than one piece at a time. My concern is the padded cover doesn't fit the case. I'll snap one side and have to force the other side to snap together. By the time I pick it up the cover unsnaps and falls off.

I recently bought this and was sceptic about the soft top..trust me anything to save wear and tear on your back is ok with me...I am a 60 year old Mobile DJ and this item has been nothing short of fantastic on weight, flexiability, and moveability (if thats a word hahah)...Wish this item was made a few years ago!!! You buy it you will also be saying ..."man why didn't I think of this..."

It weighs about 3 times as less than most rack cases and looks a good deal more professional as well. The fact that it only has a padded cover makes me fairly nervous when transporting it from gig to gig, but nothing has been damaged yet. Very good product.
