In my opinion this mic sound much better then a SM58 and for some vocalists it's even better suited then the Beta58.
The grill is much more durable then the grill of a 58. You could probably use it as a hammer. (but don't)
Also love the fact that you can lock the on-off switch to the on position. I usually do that and turn the mics on and off on the mixer.

Best mic I have ever used! My previous mice were shure sm58. They always worked but I bought this off of a recommendation. Let me tell you - I've never been happier with a purchase! I use this mic weekly for djing, karaoke and live band use. I get comments on it almost every time. It sounds great, rarely picks up feedback and is "forgiving" to (karaoke) beginners who may not always hold the mic the greatest. I've been buying nothing but sennheiser!!!
